Punted the B'ham trip after Lesa reminded me that the Iron Bowl was going on this weekend. The traffic for that PLUS the closed bridge at malfunction juction on the way INTO B'ham would have made the trip longer than I was willing to wait. Staying home was fine with me anyway since I was out kinda late the previous night handing out money.
Spent the day getting things done around the house and taking a nap. The Morgans picked me and Scott up then made our way to Madison to start the evening festivites. First stop was bowling. I like the lanes at the Madison alley because they're as close to perfect as you can find. Bowling in Decatur is akin to rolling your ball down the street. Even worse than that, the alley in Hartselle is like rolling your ball down a gravel road. It's been years since I bowled but I dug out all my bowling gear from back in my league days. Suprisingly, I was able to get adjusted by the end of the first game. My second game was going well but our hour rental time expired and we were pretty hungry. Went to Sushi-Boat for some, well, sushi. Scott was a trooper and tried all sorts of things. Big props to him for not saying "ewwwwww" or anything like that.
After enjoying our last few breaths of clean air, we descended into The Station to watch our buddies in Sister Luck play. Kerry was playing the gig with them (remember the blue Ludwigs I blogged about a while back? those are his) and we were gonna cheer him on. Put my earplugs in and I was good to go. They put on a good show. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we had a great time. Ran into a few girls I knew there that were actually older than me for a change. That was different. 2 cigars and 5 Corona's later, I was done for the evening. Smelled like an ashtray. You know when your hair gets so inundated with smoke that when you move your head around you can smell it? Yup, it was bad.
Sunday greeted me with rain. That's all I need to kink up my wig. I ran a little behind as I set my alarm clock later than I should have. Still, I made it to church and was ready before anyone had to wait on me. Good crowd there today despite the weather. Jack A. did a good job with the message. Music went well... no malfunctions that I could tell although "The Butcher" said he messed something up in Fragile Breath. I didn't catch it though.
Lunch was at Ruby Tuesday's. Kailyn was in an unusual mood. She was spazzing out and me and Kyle had the same look on our face... "What the heck is she doing?" It was funny though. Stacey wasn't feeling too well. You could tell by the look on her face, she was an unhappy camper. Hope she feels better for longer periods of time soon. Lunch was a bit chaotic as there was some sort of malfunction going on in the kitchen. Luckily, nothing could have really messed up my lunch because of "The Reason".
Back to the church for band practice. That went quickly. When that was done, I made my way over to the mall to pick up the pants I had bought last Monday. While I was picking them up, I mentioned to Kristin (Parisian worker-bee) that there seemed to be a lot of people in the store. It turns out that it was customer appreciation day and everyone got an extra 20% off. DANG IT! Time to do more shopping. Got some shoes, a shirt and some jammies. Heh.
Oooo... got a nice bonus in the mail - my rebate for my BlackBerry arrived! Sweet! It actually covered most of the shopping I did today. I LIKE IT.

Yes my food could have came out raw, and I really wouldn't have cared, because of The Reason.
