Me bLog you long time...

Action packed day today. Met up at the Burns to load up and head for Nashville. It was Jack's first time seeing Kevin's decision process play out. I think Jack asked me numerous times, "what's he doin?". Granted, Stacey's pregnant and a little unstable these days but when you throw it all in the mix, it's some comical stuff. We finally hit the road though after several gyrations.

The first stop was Joe's Crab Shack where we feasted on soft-shelled crab. There was some sort of drink special going on and Scott and Eric were taking advantage of it. Jack joined in as well but as usual, Corona's were regular price. Oh well. Stacey was trying to find a shirt for Kailyn - I was hoping she would get one that said "Don't be a pecker" or "I got crabs at Joe's" but no luck. That would be some funny stuff on a 2 year old.

Guitar Center was next. Eric was feeling on some hard cases while I was deciding on what size djembe I was going to get. Finally settled on a 14" one. After taking that to the car, Asian #2 and I walked over to CompUSA so I could get an iTrip for my iPod. The Belkin TuneCast transmitter I had been using was a piece of trash and I needed to get something better. While we were there, I talked one of the employees, Maggie, into doing a commercial for the Mickey Mouse PC while Kyle video taped with his camera phone.

Headed over to Fork's where I picked up an extra set of heads for my drums at home and a small part for one of my pedals. They were pretty busy in there. Walked next door to check out a sub that was on sale. Most everyone volunteered to pitch in to help get it but in the end we decided to wait and see if Jack's friend could get us a better deal on all the pieces we need. Hopefully, we'll soon be "with sub".

The Burns/Spooner crowd had to head back early for something but since we had extra cars, me Scott, Eric and Kyle went into town to shoot pool and walk around. Pool was free and draft beer was $2.00 till 6... almost 2 hours away. They had neither of my preferences on tap - Corona or Fosters so I tried Amber Bock. I think that made Scott happy to see me drink a dark beer for once. It tasted... different. Almost buttery. It was okay but it didn't change my favorites. Strolled down to this other brewery/restaurant establishment and had dinner. Had some jalapeno cheese dip that was incredible! Good call Scott. Also had some pepperoni pizza that reminded me of an old scratch and sniff book I had as a child that had a little pizza scratch-off thingy. So, I had a WAY back moment. We walked around some more then headed to Cool Springs mall so Scott could holler at an old budd that works there. I thought I was finished spending money for the day until I saw this really cool watch at Buckle. It's got a wide black leather band on it with a rectangular watch face. The cool thing about it is that the background of the watch is the Matrix Code. After more walking around we finally called it a day and headed for the house.

THAT's the way to spend a Saturday.

Oh, if "TP" is reading this, thanks for visiting! ;-)
