Lots of meeting going on these days at work. "That a good thing" as Martha would say. Hopefully, plenty of business will come out of all this.
For lunch, Lesa and I went over to Currie's where I had the chicken dumplings and she had a BLT. She saw one of her old co-workers from Southern Living who happened to be in town to do a photo shoot somewhere. What a small world. Back at the office I worked on a storyboard for a clients website then took a break with Lynn to get a mocha latte at Laginapp's. Mmmm... Finished off the day checking to be sure the office tape backup system was set to clean itself every 75 hours of operation. Met up with Lesa & Co. at Simp's for drinks then crossed town to Red Lobsta for dinner with the Burns.
Back at the house now. Drummed for a bit. Going to clean up the kitchen a little then watch more of my Friends DVD. Oh, got an email from a buddy that had a question about my laundry antics. I know I'm often doing laundry, so let me break it down for ya:
I wash separately:
Whites
Dark Colors
Jeans
Towels
Specialty things that need washing by themselves
Sheets
I dry everything separately typically on low so they don't get over dried and "linty"... I don't like getting the surface of my clothes worn and have little pills build up on them.
I also don't wait until I have a large load to clean before doing laundry. Most of the time when you wash and dry a large load, you've got lots of ironing to do because the large load squishes everything together increasing the wrinkles. Some items are a bitch to iron also. Some things that are impossible for a human to iron I just send to the cleaners where they have machines that get the job done.
Things that I don't send to the cleaners, I iron. You can tell when someone leaves something in the dryer then just puts it on. I do not want to be that person if I can help it. Got a little anal one time and ironed some of the t-shirts I wear under my business clothes. That was not worth the effort. I just fold that crap right away and it turns out good enough to do the job. Most items look better if they're ironed inside-out. That keeps the surface of the fabric from getting shiny or looking lighter in color than they should be. This is especially evident on dark knit shirts. It all depends on the fabrics though.
Wow. That was a lot of info.

dear, heavenly lord.
i'll never question your laundry again....
i wear it if it has so many wrinkles that it looks like it was wadded wet and packed into a ziplock sandwitch bag, only to be wadded up into a test tube and microwaved.... but that's just me.
I though you'd dig that Scott. ;-)
