Oh yeah. That's what I was needing.

Suprisingly, the music went pretty well this morning. I even got Kevin's Tourette's syndrome to act up. LOL! Actually, he was wanting me to cut off playing but he was too late with his spastic hand waving for me to cut off smoothly so I just kinda faded out. I think the idea with "the signal" is to be subtle, not to have a grand mal seizure. All kidding aside, there were no train wrecks. Big crowd at lunch today at Firehouse. After eating, I ran home to print out my music for the afternoon practice for the VBC gig. That was a bit rocky, but towards the end things were much improved. We'll get it. It'll just take a few practices for us to gel since the guitarist and bassist playing with us for the gig are different from the usual supects (Kyle and Heavy E).

Small group was differnt tonight. Phillip made it out in addition to several others. We had talked about an acoustic music night this evening and everyone remembered to bring their respective instruments along with them. My djembe was EXACTLY what I was needing for nights like this. It sounded great!!! Deep tone with crackin' highs. It was easy on the hands too. I like it much better than playing bongos or even congas. Played everything from worship songs to 80's tunes. Later on, we ended up watching a few episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. My IQ has again taken a beating.
