Wow! I've been covered up so much the last few days I hadn't even had time to make a proper bLog entry. But, I'm free for the moment and think I can catch you all up.
Last Saturday, I received my new digital camera - a Canon EOS 20D. I had grown tired of my point and shoot digital Olympus 5050 because there is only so much you can do with it. This is especially apparent when I'm at the F1 race in Indy and I simply can't get the reach I need with the one and only lens. Now, I can pick and choose the lens or lenses I need. What helps out a whole lot is that Lesa also has a Canon AND one of the super-momma-knocker telephoto zoom (70-200mm f/2.8 L) lenses I was looking at getting for myself. She offered to loan it to me just whenever I needed it. How sweet is that? So, I'm instead going to get a really nice wide zoom lens (24-70mm f/2.8 L) and an external flash. I can put off the big zoom purchase indefinitely because of Lesa's graciousness. I've already had a chance to experiment with my camera in the past few days. I REALLY like the results I'm getting. Of course, I'm still going to keep my other camera for something easy and small to bring. It works great, I've just outgrown it.
Ate dinner with the Burns Monday night at Kyoto. Kailyn was being difficult - which is unusual. Her parents put the smackdown on her so hopefully they are getting the message across that there's only so much of that crap they'll take before you get swatted.
Tuesday, an old buddy of mine from years back came by and we caught up on what all we had been doing. He checked out the pad... home theater, office, and drum studio. Ate some pizza and watched some tube. That pretty much wrapped up that evening.
Today was one meeting after another. Very productive. Called it a day a little early and headed over to Cafe 113 for drinks on the boss. Most of the crew was there and a good time was had by all. I'm home now and need to figure out what to whip up for dinner. I'm hungry.
