OUCH!

That's what my checkbook is screaming after I made my annual donation to Uncle Sam. Aside from that unpleasant experience, I had a good day otherwise.

Today was the day of the Decatur General Foundation Fashion Show. First Lady Patsy Riley was in attendance and actually participated in the show. The event was well attended with around 500 people there. I was on hand for photography - squatting down or resting on my knees at the end of the runway. THAT'S ROUGH ON YOUR LEGS I tell ya. I wish the runway lighting could have been better though. I ended up using my flash. For the first time, I shot all my flash shots in manual mode. W00T! I used JPEGs this time instead of RAW as I didn't feel like post-processing hundreds of pictures. We'll see how some of them came out.

Had band practice tonight. Grrr... my drum throne at the church got jacked up. Ya just can't have nice things these days. It's one of my thrones so that makes it even more frustrating. Because of this problem, I was sitting too low tonight making it harder to play. I'll have to fix that or by Sunday or just bring my good throne along with me if I don't have time to get to it.

I'll possibly be shooting again Saturday so I'm looking forward to that. Kyle's actually trying to get that set up so we'll see how successful that is. I do have some backup options in mind "just in case" though.
