Have I mentioned how much I dislike car shopping?

My car thought that the best way to start my day Friday was to have the A/C stop working. Ah... and the forecast high was 95 to boot! The folks that usually work on my car can't get to it till Monday so I rented a nice '05 Camry for the weekend. I can't complain though, it's been time for me to get a new vehicle but until my Honda started giving me problems, I was fine with keeping it. Now the time has come to shop for a new car. It's not something I look forward to, that's for sure. Here's what I've got on the table to consider so far:

2005 Honda Accord EX V6 (White)
2002 Cadillac Deville (Red)
2002 Cadillac Deville (Pearl White)
2004 Nissan Armada (Grey)
2004 Nissan Armada (Silver)
2003 Nissan Murano (Silver)
2003 Nissan Murano (Dk. Blue)
2003 Cadillac CTS (Silver)
2004-2005 Toyota Camry

At this point, the Armada's are most likely out since gas prices are ridiculous. I just though since I almost bought one last fall that I'd check into them. The Deville's have a SUPERB ride to them. The Honda was nice, plus it was the only new one I drove today. All the other cars are used. My last Honda I bought new and have had no trouble with it up to now. It's a 92 so 13 years without any big problems is nothing to sneeze at.

Decisions, decisions....

What I REALLY would like is a Lexus LS430 - used prices are more than I want to pay though right now. Sigh.

Eh, just get the SUV, you don't have any big bills.

Gas won't stay at these escalated prices forever... not once the American people start revolting.

Cap'n Carl.
